Product Care
The beauty of wooden products is their inherent natural and unique character, which will include variations in the grain, colour & figuring of each piece of wood.
All our woodenware products are made to withstand regular use. We give them all several coats of linseed oil to nourish and help protect the wood.
You can wash your wooden items with warm water and mild detergent on a cloth and dry with a tea towel or on a drying rack. Do not put them in a dishwasher nor leave soaking or sitting in water.
With use and over time, the item may begin to lighten in colour and take on a more matt finish, meaning the wood could benefit from re-oiling with a food-safe wood oil or balm.
We make our own wood balm, made with a combination of linseed oil and local Cornish beeswax, which is available in our shop. If you need any further advice on how to look after our products, please get in touch.
Delivery
Standard delivery to the UK mainland is included in shop prices {unless otherwise stated}. If you need an item to arrive very quickly, you can pay a little more at checkout and we can send your parcel on a faster service. Although we do our best to get parcels dispatched as quickly as possible, the postal service may sometimes be suffering delays, which are out of our hands.
We do our best to dispatch in stock items within 2 to 3 days of your order but please allow 7-10 days for your parcel to reach you, especially at busier times. If your parcel has not arrived within 10 days, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help. It may be that the postal service is suffering delays, which are out of our hands.
We do all we can to minimise our impact on the planet & use environmentally-friendly packaging as much as possible. We re-use boxes & packaging we have been sent & if we have to buy new packaging, choose paper or cardboard tape, boxes and filler. We also use packaging from a Scrapstore, which would otherwise have been disposed of.
We don’t ship out of the UK as this is not in line with our low impact ethos.
Returns
We really hope you love your purchase. However, if you have any issues with it, please get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to sort it out with you. Refunds are only given if an item arrives damaged.
Every piece of wood and therefore every item we make is unique. All work is made and finished by hand and there will sometimes be slight variations in size. Some items on the shop are one-off pieces, so you will receive the actual piece shown, but some items are designs which we remake now and again, so the colour, grain etc of the item you receive may vary a little from the photographs on the shop.
